Abstract

Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) is emerging as a key research focus in 6G networks, aiming to unify sensing and communication over shared wireless infrastructure. This thesis explores the cybersecurity threats associated with an ISAC-based UAV monitoring system intended for safeguarding critical infrastructure. A component-wise threat analysis is conducted using the STRIDE framework, covering essential modules such as gNB, sensing control, data fusion, UAV classification, and policy enforcement. Identified threats are assessed based on their plausibility, potential impact, and effect on key system performance indicators like detection accuracy, availability, and trustworthiness. Mitigations and countermeasures are provided for the threats. The findings provide a structured approach to evaluating ISAC security during the design phase and offer practical guidance for building a secure sensing system.
