Abstract
This thesis examines the cybersecurity compliance of network designs for Automated Stacking Cranes (ASC) in alignment with the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA). The research identifies key cybersecurity requirements mandated by the CRA and evaluates current network architectures implemented by Konecranes. Through comprehensive literature review, stakeholder interviews, and gap analysis, the study highlights critical compliance shortcomings and proposes enhanced network design principles and cybersecurity measures. The outcomes include detailed recommendations for securing network infrastructure during various lifecycle phases, including design, manufacturing, commissioning, and operational support. This research contributes to enhancing cybersecurity readiness, regulatory compliance, and operational resilience for automated crane systems within industrial environments.Description
