Abstract

This research studied how Finnish TOP 50 enterprises by turnover have embraced Business to Employee mobility, and compared it to research by Gartner Inc. to find out how the Finnish organizations fare against their global peers. The hypothesis of the thesis is that “Finnish Enterprises are behind in Enterprise Mobility compared to their global peers and competitors”, which is examined through comparing the amount of deployed mobile Business to Employee apps in the Finnish companies. As a local market specific topic no previous research has been conducted specifically on how Finnish enterprises have seized the opportunities of Business to Employee mobility and to what extent. The hypothesis and following research questions were evaluated through a set of personal interviews with key personnel responsible of the area of mobility in a sample group from the TOP 50 enterprises in Finland. The obtained empirical data seems to point out that Finnish enterprises have dropped behind in Enterprise Mobility by at least a year and possibly even more when compared to their global peers by the amount of deployed Business to Employee apps.
