Abstract
This thesis studies the use of MTOSI standard interface as a north bound interface for Tellabs 8000 Intelligent Network Manager. The goal was to enable ATM pseudo wire provisioning through the MTOSI north bound interface. ATM pseudo wire technology is commonly used for mobile backhaul application.
As a result, Tellabs ATM pseudo wire technology was modelled in terms of MTOSI and a demonstration was implemented. The demonstration proved that ATM pseudo wire provisioning is possible through MTOSI interface. MTOSI was recognized as a useful tool for Operations Systems integration, but it should be noted that MTOSI development is still ongoing.
Tässä diplomityössä tutkitaan MTOSI-standardirajapinnan käyttöä pohjoisena rajapintana Tellabs 8000 Intelligent Network Manager verkonhallintajärjestelmässä. Tavoitteena on mahdollistaa ATM pseudowire provisiointi pohjoisen MTOSI rajapinnan läpi. ATM pseudowire -tekniikkaa käytetään yleisesti mobiiliverkkojen siirtoverkoissa.
Tämän diplomityön tuloksena Tellabsin ATM pseudowire -tekniikka mallinnettiin MTOSI:n mallinnusmenetelmillä. Lisäksi toteutettiin demonstraatio joka todistaa ATM pseudowire provisioinnin olevan mahdollista MTOSI rajapinnan kautta. MTOSI todettiin hyödylliseksi työvälineeksi verkonhallintajärjestemien integroinnissa, mutta tulisi myös huomioida että MTOSI-standardin kehitys on vielä kesken.
