Abstract
The project is based upon the staggering need to supply food to the coming generations as well as the idea of space saving measures that will be needed within the coming 30 years if the numbers are correct.
The project is a continuation of Koivusaari idea competition, I used the Area as my base, and I have focused on the combining of different social aspects from the horizontal plane into a vertical way, planning a vertical urban structure instead of horizontally.
In the project are three main functions included housing, work place and food production, these three are usually part of the human eco system that we circle around our entire lives.
I have mixed these into one and I have based my project on the literature of Ken Yeang and Dr.
Dicksson Despommier.
Both are specialized in verticality and have many similar ties, each producing a vision of greenery in a vertical plane.
