dc.description.abstractAutonomous Virtual Instruments is a musical metacreation project which models music making as a social activity in a multi-agent system. The agents control simple instruments in visually rendered virtual space with two integrated physics simulations: one for classical motion (a physics engine) and one for sound synthesis (physical modelling synthesis). The work is presented as an audio-visual installation.en
