Abstract

By reading history and philosophy of education through love songs, Juuso Tervo explores what would it mean to understand politics of art education as an act of love. He argues for an approach to love and education aside from a narrative of completion that assigns a predetermined place for their politics. Drawing from writers such as Giorgio Agamben, Alain Badiou, and Lauren Berlant, he discusses how might love help to keep politics of art education radically open. The text is based on a lecture given at University of Cologne in June 1st 2016.
