Abstract:Jo yli puolet ihmiskunnasta kärsii veden puutteesta. Koska ruuan tuotantoon kuluu suurin osa ihmisen käyttämästä vedestä, se on keskeinen tekijä pyrittäessä vesivarojen kestävään käyttöön. Globaalin ruuan kysynnän tyydyttämiseen tarvittavan veden määrä riippuu paitsi siitä, montako meitä on ja paljonko syömme, myös ruokavaliostamme, ruokahävikistä ja ruuan tuotantoalueista. |
