dc.description.abstract In this literature review I study the role of the Unites States dollar as an international currency by focusing on different aspects of this position. These aspects are the U.S. dollar as an official reserve currency, U.S. dollar hand-to-hand usage in foreign countries, U.S. dollar in international trade and U.S. dollar in international financial markets. We review these aspects by looking at their theory and position of U.S. dollar in each of these. We find that the Unites States dollar is still dominating currency internationally. en
