dc.description.abstract In the field of telecommunication, assessing voice quality in cellular networks is one of the most crucial needs of this era. Given the reliance of modern society on cellular communication, clarity of voice is and will continue to gain importance. Voice quality is measured at every stage of cellular communication from the initial R&D to when a voice call is placed on a live network. Different algorithms have been proposed by International Telecommunication Union-Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) to measure voice quality. POLQA version 2.4 is the most latest available algorithm. Based on POLQA algorithm, objective voice quality measuring method is used to measure voice quality on a large scale for all the available on-air technologies such as GSM, WCDMA and LTE. Different tools are available to measure voice quality and two tools were picked to measure quality of the client’s network. Both tools were based on POLQA 2.4 algorithm however, produced different results in various scenarios. Based on results above, the tool providing better evaluation of voice quality had been proposed for future use in client’s network. en
