Abstract:Tässä väitöstyössä kartoitettiin liikeaivokuoren toimintoja transkraniaalisella magneettistimulaatiolla (TMS). Vaihtoehtoisia kartoitusmenetelmiä esiteltiin ja niitä verrattiin yleisemmin käytössä oleviin. Tutkimuksessa I TMS:llä kartoitettiin motoriset aivokuoren edustusalueet mittaamalla sekä eksitatorisia että inhibitorisia vasteita. Eksitatorisia ja inhibitorisia vasteita tuottavat alueet erosivat vain hieman, joten inhibitoriset vasteet voidaan kartoittaa eksitatoristen sijasta. |
