dc.description.abstract Abstract: A single-blade sewage pump is simulated numerically using a FINFLO flow solver. A low-Reynolds number approach is utilized with a k − ǫ and a k – ω turbulence closure. Simulations are done with two grid densities and also utilizing both preconditioning and pressure correction methods for one case. Main result: Pump head, efficiency and torque are obtained from the simulated flow field and compared to measured data. The velocity distributions are also compared to the measurements. en
