Abstract:Mesoskooppinen fysiikka käsittelee rakenteita, joiden koko on jokapäiväisen makroskooppisen mittakaavan ja mikroskooppisen atomimittakaavan välillä. Mesoskooppisissa rakenteissa pystytään siirtämään elektroneja hallitusti yksitellen. Tämä väitöskirja keskittyy yksittäisten elektronien siirtoon normaalimetalleissa ja suprajohteissa. Eräs työn tärkeimmistä painopisteistä on ymmärtää niinkutsutun SINIS-kääntöportin toiminnan rajoitukset. SINIS-kääntöportti on laite, jolla pystytään siirtämään elektroneja yksitellen suprajohteelta toiselle. Toistotaajuudella f saadaan näin aikaiseksi sähkövirta I = ef, jossa e on alkeisvaraus. |
