Archived copies of the Master's theses

The Master's theses of Aalto University and its predecessors are permanently preserved in electronic or printed format.

Electronic archive copies

  • We archive the new theses from Schools of Technology and Business in electronic format (OEV).
  • Author of the thesis decides about the publicity of the thesis.
  • Published theses can be read via Aaltodoc database.
  • Theses without permission to publish can be read only at the Harald Herlin Learning Centre customer computers.
  • We digitize the Schools of Technology theses from 1960 to 2014 and School of Business theses from 1960 to 2008 during the year 2018.
  • Digitized theses (OEVS) can be read only at the Harald Herlin Learning Centre customer computers.
  • You can read the restricted access thesis on the customer computer screen or print it to your personal study and research purposes. It is not possible to download the thesis file or copy text or images from the file.
Printed archive copies
  • There are printed archive copies of the theses not available in electronic format.
  • You can find the Master's theses of the School of Arts, Design and Architecture at the second floor of the Learning Centre from the year 2010 to the current year.
  • To get other archived printed copies, please, send an order by email to Learning Centre customer service: oppimiskeskus@aalto.fi (in your email, please, add your contact details and the name of the author and the title of the thesis)
  • Ordered theses are available for reading at the service desk (first floor) on the next business day after 12 am, unless the customer service informs you otherwise.
  • You can read the thesis at the Learning Centre premises or take photocopies of the thesis for your personal study and research purposes.
  • You cannot borrow theses.
  • You cannot scan the theses into files.
