    The purpose of this thesis is to research the operation principle of a new dual-winding power supply topology and to find out why is it more efficient than a single-winding power supply. The research begins with the derivation of mathematical equations that explain the operation of the circuit. This was expanded to a simulation model which was used to verify the mathematical equations. Lastly, the circuit was built and measurements were conducted. The coupling between two inductors was verified to be the cause of the efficiency improvement since it reduces the ripple in the circuit.
