At the same time the principles and criteria of the internal auditing are studied. In addition to this, the model of the internal auditing is developed. The study consists of two parts. The first part is a literary research in which the demands to the internal auditing set by quality management and by the integrated management system are clarified. The second part is a case study in which the building of the model of the internal auditing under development is studied to the company with the help of an interview study, questionnaire survey and the direct observation. The criteria of the internal auditing are defined by the integrated management system, instructions, standards, acts and decrees. The internal audition process contains the stages of planning, performing, evaluation and developing. It is important that the audition planning stage has been carefully made and the resources are sufficient. The most important stage is evaluation and developing stage. The commitment of the management to the integrated management system affects the success of the internal auditing. The auditing objectives appointed by the management and the annual focus areas provide the basis for the auditing and developing of the operation. In this study it was noticed that audition material is worth preparing for the auditors. Well prepared material supports and improves the performing of the auditing. The performing of auditing in a dense period will improve the effectiveness of the auditing. After the internal auditing the teams were activated to think how they can develop and improve their own operations. The internal auditing cannot solve the problems of the organisation alone but it can produce information about the risks, improvement possibilities and improvement needs to the management of the company.Item Effect of xenon on brain injury, neurological outcome, and survival in patients after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage—study protocol for a randomized clinical trial(BioMed Central, 2023-12) Laaksonen, Mikael; Rinne, Jaakko; Rahi, Melissa; Posti, Jussi P.; Laitio, Ruut; Kivelev, Juri; Saarenpää, Ilkka; Laukka, Dan; Frösen, Juhana; Ronkainen, Antti; Bendel, Stepani; Långsjö, Jaakko; Ala-Peijari, Marika; Saunavaara, Jani; Parkkola, Riitta; Nyman, Mikko; Martikainen, Ilkka K.; Dickens, Alex M.; Rinne, Juha; Valtonen, Mika; Saari, Teijo I.; Koivisto, Timo; Bendel, Paula; Roine, Timo; Saraste, Antti; Vahlberg, Tero; Tanttari, Juha; Laitio, Timo; Department of Neuroscience and Biomedical Engineering; Turku University Hospital; Tampere University; University of Eastern Finland; University of Turku; Elomatic IndiaBackground: Aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH) is a neurological emergency, affecting a younger population than individuals experiencing an ischemic stroke; aSAH is associated with a high risk of mortality and permanent disability. The noble gas xenon has been shown to possess neuroprotective properties as demonstrated in numerous preclinical animal studies. In addition, a recent study demonstrated that xenon could attenuate a white matter injury after out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. Methods: The study is a prospective, multicenter phase II clinical drug trial. The study design is a single-blind, prospective superiority randomized two-armed parallel follow-up study. The primary objective of the study is to explore the potential neuroprotective effects of inhaled xenon, when administered within 6 h after the onset of symptoms of aSAH. The primary endpoint is the extent of the global white matter injury assessed with magnetic resonance diffusion tensor imaging of the brain. Discussion: Despite improvements in medical technology and advancements in medical science, aSAH mortality and disability rates have remained nearly unchanged for the past 10 years. Therefore, new neuroprotective strategies to attenuate the early and delayed brain injuries after aSAH are needed to reduce morbidity and mortality. Tärkeimpänä syynä optimointiin ovat taloudelliset näkökulmat nykypäivän kovassa, globaalissa kilpailutilanteessa, jossa kaikkia kustannuksia pyritään alentamaan. Yksittäiselle työpisteelle optimointi onnistuukin helposti, mutta muiden, tähän työpisteeseen suoraan sidoksissa olevien työpisteiden osalta, laskenta vaatiikin jo moniulotteisuutta. Tutkimuksessa kävivät ilmi valimoteollisuuden alkupään työpisteiden ja työvaiheiden vahvat sidokset ja vaikutukset toisiinsa. Valumuotinvalmistuslinja käsittää normaalissa automaattivalimossa useita erilaisia työpisteitä, ja niiden yksittäiset taloudelliset vaikutukset moninkertaistuvat, kun kaikki linjan osat lasketaan yhteen. Yhdenkin linjan osan toiminnan hidastuessa tai pysähtyessä, kertautuvat muuttuvien kustannusten työvoimaosuudet suhteessa sidosryhmässä olevien linjojen henkilöstön määriin ja sitä kautta heikentävät tuotteen kannattavuutta. Muotinvalmistuslinjan Lisäksi avainasemassa ovat valimoissa sulatot. Niiden kapasiteetin täytyy luonnollisesti pystyä vastaamaan koko sisällä olevaa tilauskantaa, mutta myös yksittäisiä tuotantoeriä kuormitettaessa. Valulinjan odottaessa sulatolta sulaerän toimitusta, on koko alkupään tuotanto pysähdyksissä aina hiekanvalmistuksesta valujen linjasinkoukseen saakka. Item User-oriented long term management planning - Business planning as a tool(2013) Salonen, Päivi; Valtonen, Mika; Insinööritieteiden korkeakoulu; Insinööritieteiden korkeakoulu; School of Engineering; Junnila, SeppoTraditionally the long term building planning has been made based on what is mentioned in the condition assessments and surveys. Future repair needs have been selected from these evaluations and not much interest has been given to the user opinion and needs. As the competition in the real estate business has increased the real estate owners and investors have noticed that in order them to succeed they must invest in client and user satisfaction. In real estate business this is called tenant satisfaction. The fundamental purpose of real estate investing is to make maximum profit. The real estate management plan is to help the real estate investor to present the actual operations how to meet their own objectives and goals. The purpose of this thesis is to enhance the management plan and make the long term planning be more user-oriented. The user oriented view increases tenant satisfaction which creates more profit. Tenant satisfaction is a combination of tenant-lessor relationship and terms and conditions of the lease agreement. The satisfaction level is also affected by the location of the premises, the technical functionality and usability of the premises, image, services, networking possibilities and cost efficiency. The key part of this thesis is to combine these different satisfaction factors into the investor's management plan. This thesis was implemented as an action research. Action research group was formed by members of real estate investor and members from real estate managing company. As a result from the group meetings, a new version of the Business Planning tool was created. This new version was tested in practice and was approved to be a useful tool. The new version of the business planning tool guides and helps the managers and investors to plan renovations in a more user oriented perspective.
