Item Becoming-Black Bloc, Becoming-Anartist: the art of prolonging and remodulating counter-cultural lines of flight(University of Edinburgh, 2018-11-06) Biagini, Gian; Department of ArtThe text describes the practice of the Anartist, which consists of interventions that subvert the urban space with an antagonist and countercultural spin inspired by the Black Bloc. The evil aura and the symbolic violence of the Black Blocks, a sort of magical Black Mana, are folded into a subversive aesthetic expressiveness that opens a line of escape in the urban space and provokes a viral infection in the Integrated Spectacle of Capitalism. The Anartist, a masked transpersona that can be embodied by anybody, extends the counter-spectacle of the Black Bloc destructive actions in disruptive line offlights that actualize their telluric subversion in site-specific situations of the urban space. The Anartist is a sort of simulacrum that decentralizes, remodulates and intensifies the counter-cultural mythology of Black Blocks. The practice of the Anartist, which can be defined as Disturbanism, unworks the money-form of the space, unleashing an event that is out ofcapitalist design but which arises from within itself as a virus that causes a negative diarrhea of dissensus. In fact, the Anarchist Disturbanist intervention can be considered as the unappropriated other that cannot be expelled outside by a totalitarian system that has no outside and returns as a viral scatological hauntology. The Anartist produces chaos, symbols and experiences through Blackshit, ghosts and antagonist viruses to operate witchcraft rituals, which not only cannot be subsumed by the Capitalist Spectacle but continue to infect it in an eternal return producing a counter-culture and a counter-spell.Item “Death in Venice” Biennale 2017(2017-12) Biagini, Gian; Department of ArtThis short essay presents the contingent and dramatic genesis of the Anartist (Anarchist Artist). The Anartist’s praxis consists of subversive and disruptive interventions in urban space that produce uncoded dissensus in the sensible partitions of the global city. The Anartist’s nomadic strategy unfolds in a line of flight between politics and sacred, single and multiple, counter-sorcery and subversion. This uncompromising attitude of proceeding on a nomadic and smooth edge of dangerous “sovereignty”, forcefully clashes with the fortress erected by today’s art-system - an exclusive, striated space dominated by capitalist logic and the rise of the “creative class”. This introduction is necessary to present the non-authorized interventions performed by the Anartist inside and around Venice Biennale 2017. The 3 interventions, especially “Death in Venice: Contemporary Chinese Slavery”, are dramatic reports on the transformation of an art institution, once considered the heretical temple of free expression, in a militarized cage of repression of every heterologous and anti-capitalist attitude.Item Heterogenesis of the Anartist: Catalysis of a character, a praxis, a strategy, a knowledge(Aalto University, 2018) Biagini, Gian; Department of ArtThe paper concerns my praxis of Disturbanism (Disturb Urbanism) and the Anartist (Anarchist Artist), who is the agency-avatar of this praxis. The text starts with a biographical style to show the contingent heterogeneous catalysis of the Anartist. Then the text goes on to describe my first artworks. Here the style becomes more theoryspecific to define the potentiality of the Anartist as “transpersona-marker” in the emergent outsider-refrain of the Heteron. The paper also illustrates the superposition between Anarchist and Alchemist in the plane of schizo-composition of the Anartist simulacrum. The Anartist, as avatar, allows access to the chaosmystic event of a Disturbanist Intervention which disrupts the regime of attraction of the Capitalist space.
